Style By The Pound

Ok, so Valentines day came and went a handful of days ago, maybe weeks, whatever….and I know most of ya’ll spent that magical day cuddled up with the one you love, eating steak, drinking wine, going down on each…never mind………but for me, not so much, kinda hung out by myself and watched Malibu’s Most Wanted…twice…….therefore, I want to take this time out and  tell my story, because this piece was inspired by an individual, that if I could describe in one word I would say……………….Angel….with a beautiful soul….o.k….so that’s more than 1 word.

Now, Valentines day started off like most regular days for me…got up, took a shower, conditioned my hair, made some toast, guzzled some water and then finally, heated up my ’79 Pinto and headed off to work. Now, once I got to work I didn’t think much of the day until everyone around me started talking about how they were going to do this and they were going to do that for their significant other that night……kinda made wanna smack someone, because here’s the thing…I haven’t been able to enjoy a Valentines day in about, oh I would say a good 2 years.

Alright, so let me just fast forward to the point. My home girl, M.Lissa found out (the next day) that my Valentines day wasn’t so…Valentine…so she made me this cute little cone out of a 8.5×11 sheet of paper with 1 staple and then filled it up M&M‘s from her own secret stash….(pretty fuckin’ creative if you ask me)……..and for all ya’ll that know me, know that I haven’t ate candy in about, oh, 10 years? But I found myself eating these, like a little kid off punishment, happy as hell…with a pretty huge smile on my face. Well ever since then I kinda found myself having this Junior High School crush on her…I mean, when this chick comes around all she has to do is say one word to me and I start blushing like a little fucking doofus…I mean, this girl has a smile that makes me want to rush through the weekend so that I can see it again on Monday……..so I dedicate this piece to you biscuit!

And…last but not least….

Every other month or so I take a trip up North to the woods for some little spray action with my good buddy Faze. So I checked the weather, took some money for beer out my mom’s purse, put on my Long Johns and headed out.

Many moons ago I had worked in a factory running a C&C machine that cut grooves into little screw like products. The hours were 6a.m. to 2p.m….which doesn’t seem bad at all except for the fact that 1 minute seemed to take forever to go by. I actually used to take a rag and cover the clock on the machine so that I couldn’t see the time.

In any event, I can remember coming in on Monday mornings and everyone being all grumpy and ending every shitty sentence in, “Cuz it’s Monday” or “Don’t mind me, it’s Monday.”  And I admit, I fell into that same state of mind for a while. But yesterday for the first time I realized, hey it’s Monday and I’m having fun!

So here’s to all the saps out there that settle for the Monday bullshit.

I’ve been kind of slacking on posting, so here is a handful all balled up into 1.

Talk about a line out the door!
